Ultima giornata - Final day

Si conclude la decima edizione del Daimiloptu con una giornata davvero piena di emozioni. Il premio più ambito se lo aggiudicano i croati del KK Split che vincono la finalissima superando per 76-66 la BSL grazie ad un allungo nell'ultimo quarto di gioco dopo che per i primi tre l'equilibrio aveva regnato sovrano. A regalare emozioni ai numerosissimi spettatori presenti in Furla ci hanno pensato i tanti ottimi giocatori delle due squadre, con il migliore di tutti Dragan Bender messo ko da un infortunio alla caviglia dopo nemmeno venti secondi di gioco. Alla prima azione, infatti, il numero 12 giallonero si infortuna e deve restare fuori per tutto il primo tempo. Dopo l'intervallo grande, Bender prova a rientrare in campo ma il dolore pare essere troppo grande visto che dopo poche azioni giocate zoppicando e senza mai incidere, il suo coach lo richiama in panchina. Con Spalato in difficoltà, però, il lunghissimo playmaker ritorna in campo e questa volta, pur continuando a zoppicare vistosamente, regala ai suoi compagni tanta fiducia e qualche giocata importante dando il via all'allungo poi completato da Marin Vrucinic e Antonio Pilat per il 76-66 finale. 
Pari emozioni ha regalato la finale per il terzo posto che ha visto il Castiglione Murri avere la meglio sulla Virtus per 78-71 solo dopo un tempo supplementare. Al minuto quaranta, infatti, il punteggio era in perfetta parità grazia ad una prodigiosa rimonta dei ragazzi del Castiglione Murri nell'ultima frazione di gioco.
I premi individuali sono andati a Dragan Bender (KK Split), premiato da Carlton Myers come MVP, Marin Dijan (SK Zadar) premiato da Patrick Baldassarre come Top Scorer, Lorenzo Rocchi (BSL) premiato da Andrea Pecile come vincitore della gara del tiro da tre punti. Premiato anche Marco Albertazzi come miglior arbitro del torneo.
Infine, il premio che più rispecchia lo spirito del torneo, ovvero quello per la squadra che ha messo in mostra la migliore ospitalità durante i giorni del torneo, che va ai ragazzi degli Stars e a tutti i loro genitori.

The tenth edition of the Daimiloptu comes to and end with a final day full of pathos and emotions. The big prize goes to Croatian powerhouse KK Split that win the final game against BSL with the score of 76-66 thanks to a strong effort in the fourth quarter after the periods of great balance. After a few seconds of play in final match, the best player in the tournament, Croatian guard Dragan Bender has to leave the floor with a left foot injury. He will sit on the bench for the first twenty minutes, trying to play at the start of the third quarter. But after few minutes of pain and limping, he must go back to the bench. With in difficulty, however, the talented player returns on the floor and this time, while still limping noticeably, gives a great boost of confidence to his teammates and a few important offensive possessions. It is the start of the final sprint for Split, that never looks back again thanks to the play of Marin Vrucinic and Antonio Pilat for the final 76-66 score. 
Equal emotions come from the 3rd place final where Castiglione Murri win over Virtus with thje score of 78-71 after one overtime. At the end of the fourth quarter, in fact, the score was a perfect tie thanks to an amazing comeback of Castiglione Murri in the last period.
The individual awards were for Dragan Bender (KK Split) as the MVP, Marin Dijan (SK Zadar) as the top scorer, Lorenzo Rocchi (BSL) as the winner ot the 3pt shootout. The award for the best referee of the tournament went to Marco Albertazzi.Last but not leats, the award that best reflects the spirit of the tournament for the team that  showcased the best hospitality during the tournament days. The award went to the player of Stars Bologna and all their parents.
